 We Aim To:  

Ø Actively promote resident involvement and its benefits to everyone living in Beechdale 

Ø Understand the ways in which you want to be involved 

Ø Build upon existing and find new ways for you to work with us  

Ø Give you choices on how you can play a part either as an individual or within a group 

Ø Provide opportunities that are accessible to you all and reflect your different  needs within the community using the tenant profiling information

Ø Ensure our staff are trained to develop involvement opportunities and support you 

Ø Provide information to you that is easy to understand, and interesting, using less words and more pictures 

Ø Work with you to monitor our services and monitor our performance  

Ø Ensure that our resident and community activities provide good value for money

 In 2011 – 2012 We Will: 

ØReview with you our 2010 Resident Involvement Framework  

ØDevelop a customer led new group of mystery shoppers and a scrutiny role. Our services will be tested and reviewed for improvement and further influence our decision making

ØLaunch a Residents Association if this is what you want or develop alternative options with you

ØCarry out Estate walkabouts, let you know in advance when they will take place in your area and tell you what we found and what we have done about the issues

ØDevelop further links with young Beechdale people and provide opportunities for you to be involved with us. We will aim to work with partners to form a youth forum or similar

ØWork with our Diversity Interest Group (DIG) to deliver our Older Persons’ Strategy, particularly in relation to providing opportunities for their involvement  

ØRevise our Customer Access Statement with our Customer Services Interest Group (CSIG) who will monitor delivery

ØWork with a project team of residents to 

vReview our 2010 Annual Report

vPublish our 2011 Annual Report in October to include monitoring of Beechdale’s local offers

ØProvide training to our involved tenants and our Scrutiny Panel to help develop skills for their roles linking with Friendship’s customer training programme

ØEncourage representation to reflect the wider and diverse needs of the community, such as engaging with young mothers

ØWork closely with our new partners Friendship to organise and promote the Annual Customer Conference in September 2011. Our tenants all receive invitations to come along and we will provide transport to get you there and then home again

ØBuild and develop cross working opportunities with Friendship’s resident groups

ØWork with our residents to support community events and fun days such as, the Summer Fete, Picnic in the Park and a Christmas Fayre
