This site aims to conform to level 2.1 of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0.

These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines will help to make the web more user friendly for all people.

Site Navigation

To try and make it quick and easy for you to get the information you want all pages include a search facility and a link to a sitemap.

Text Resizing

It is possible to change the size of the text using our text resizing buttons or your browser

On the top of each page there are text size icons, simply click on the ‘+ Increase’ to increase or ‘- Decrease’ to change the text size on the screen.

If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer as your browser go to the 'View' menu and move down to 'Text Size', then select a different size from the menu.

If you are using Mozilla Firefox as your browser go to the 'View' menu and move down to 'Text Size', then select 'Increase' or 'Decrease' from the menu.

Website Reading Software

If you have a visual impairment or other difficulties reading this site, you may find the BrowseAloud speech-enabling software useful. Once installed and set-up it will read aloud website content as you move your mouse over it.
 

Viewing PDF files

Most documents for downloading from this site are in the PDF format. To view these files you will need to use a PDF file viewer such as Adobe Reader that is available from Adobe Systems.

Acrobat Reader is free software that lets you view and print Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files and this can be downloaded from their website: Abode Reader.

Translation

Google can translate the site into different languages using the translation facility provided. The language of your choice can be selected the relevant flag on the home page.

Please note that Beechdale Community Housing  cannot be held responsible for the accuracy of these translations. We include this facility with the intention of providing an alternative and quick translation service to the one that is provided through Language Line which needs to be arrange by us. Language Line

We subscribe to Language Line which is a recognised interpretation service that can, upon request, translate our publications into many other languages. Please contact us on 01922 648252.

If you visit our office and need to speak to someone in your own language we can also arrange this through Language Line.

Additional Service Information 

Our office is DDA compliant and is easily accessible and has private interview rooms.

       A portable hearing loop is available in our office and interview rooms for use by visitors with hearing aids. We can also use these on home visits. Please contact us on 01922 648252 if you think this facility may be of assistance.
