Beechdale Skip Day
Out with the old in with the new!
New Year is always a great time to get rid of your old rubbish and throw away unwanted clutter. So Beechdale Community Housing (Beechdale), invited customers to join them in a community ‘skip day’ recently.
Sonny Dhami, Neighbourhood Officer from Beechdale said “The day drummed up loads of neighbourhood support and we managed to fill all four skips dotted around the estate. We also got people from Community Payback involved and they helped to clear the garage sites. Everyone that took part thought it was a great idea, they were really grateful.”
Beechdale’s contractor’s Morrison and Green Lane Skips both kindly provided a skip free of charge and matching their generosity, Beechdale arranged a further two. The event was organised by staff in conjunction with the Beechdale Estate Environmental Society as part of their continuing support of the ‘Big Tidy Up’ campaign.
