Welcome to
Beechdale Community Housing

A new chapter in history
Following a lengthy selection process
to find a suitable partner and months fine-tuning arrangements, we are delighted to announce that on 28th April 2011 Friendship Care and Housing and Beechdale Community Housing have formed new housing association.

Friendship now owns and manages a portfolio of more than 4,500 properties across the east and west Midlands which includes larger family housing in Birmingham and continues to provide comprehensive care and support services across the west Midlands.

The new partnership with Beechdale (who will retain a local board of management) will see association continue in their work to improve efficiencies, cost effectiveness and regenerate their communities to the benefit of both the customer and the business.

Friendship’s managing director Jonathan Driffill said “Both Friendship and Beechdale share the same passion for people and for making a difference to local communities, so I’m delighted that customer involvement featured so strongly in the selection process.   Customers from both organisations were involved from the outset.   I also welcome and respect the opportunity to work closely with the former Chief Executive Officer of Beechdale, June Moriarty. Pooling our talents and resources, we very much look forward to working with our new colleagues.”

June Moriarty, the newly appointed Director of Beechdale and Neighbourhood Services said “We knew from the outset that Friendship were the right people for us.  We echo each others values and commitment in making sure that we provide more opportunities and a better quality of life for our customers.”
